Marico Water is known as South Africa’s premier Roan breeding farm.

The farm is located on the Botswana border, with the Marico River forming the Northern boundry. It is close to the Atherstone Nature Reserve in Limpopo, South Africa, with the closest town being Dwaalboom. The infrastructure is well developed and Eskom power is being supplied to the farm. There is a main house and a network of well-maintained roads.

The entire farm is fenced with a 2.4m high game proof fence and is electrified as well. According to a case study done on the farm, this area falls within the historic distribution of Roan Antelope, which is still currently the main focus on the farm, as well as a wide variety of other animals.
